Wayne Ellington – Creative Director
Wayne’s humble spirit, magnificent voice and extraordinary talent have set a high standard for up and coming artist. He has been singing for years and developed his distinctive tones in his local church where he also conducted the youth and senior choirs.
He studied music at Brunel University where he won the prestigious Sheridan Instrumental Prize. Since leaving university, he has worked as a vocal tutor coaching individuals, schools and college choirs, celebrities and most notably Brunel’s University Choir.
In addition to his work, Wayne has appeared live on television and radio with numerous celebrities from the gospel and secular field. His performance credits include:
BBC- Songs of Praise, Sir Jesse Dixon, Helen Baylor, Sir Elton John, Candy Staton, Ron Kenoly, Graham Kendrick, Gloria Gaynor, Tom Jones, UK Open University Short programs and many more.
During his collaboration with Nu Image (UK urban worship team), ‘London Community Gospel Choir’, Sainsbury’s award winning ‘Kingdom Choir’ and ‘The Shout’, Wayne continued developing his vocal skills in Jazz and Opera which opened doors enabling him to travel around the world.
Wayne is a member of The Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) and is director of its ‘Music and Worship Development’ team. He also runs vocal workshops and delivers presentations on Praise and Worship for large or small church and cooperate groups especially in Russia and the Ukraine when he travels with the church’s ‘Mission Experience’ team.
Wayne‘s faith is the mainspring and inspiration of his work with young people, not as an evangelist but as someone who wishes to raise expectations and spreads the joy and enrichment of the making of live music to as many possible. His music and his life experience is deeply informed and enabled by his Christian faith in which he endeavours to truly live gospel.
Chantelle Codner – Creative Project Manager
Chantelle is an outgoing woman who is passionate about making the most of the recourses and talents available to her. She is a strong believer in anyone being able to achieve anything they want; if they believe in themselves and their abilities and are given the right support, anything is possible. These values are reflected in the work that she produces.
Chantelle has successfully developed and managed a range of community projects and events. Chantelle uses these skills alongside her musical abilities to develop programs for the Sing Out Project and other organisations.
Chantelle (artist name Chan) is a gifted individual having won the National STAR Award: Unsigned Singer/Songwriter at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham in 2006. Chan is also a recording artist. Her debut release ‘Restoration’ highlights her song-writing gift and honey-rich vocals to take you on a virtual melodic journey. Her trademark song ‘Battleground’ is already very popular and is being hummed throughout the UK. Chan’s unique gift allows her to express gospel music in a range of styles from Jazz, Reggae, Soulful house, acoustic and more.
Chantelle is the creative inspiration behind the sensational ‘Soul Experience’ which has proven to be a great success for the local community. Chantelle currently manages a range of activities for Sing Out Project: Soul Experience – launched in 2009 as part of International Women’s Week, Manchester Sing Out Choir – Established in 2005 for the launch of Manchester International Festival and more recently the S.O.P – Creative Festival of Learning: using the arts as a tool to further develop your basic skills
