Learn how to use the most accessible instrument in the world… YOUR VOICE. Develop your voice as a soloist or in a group environment.

WHO IS THIS COUSE FOR?

This course is for anyone with a desire to learn more about how the voice works in its basic form.

 WHAT PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

No previous knowledge, skills or qualifications are required, just a willingness to take part, enjoy and achieve 

WHAT WILL I DO/ LEARN ON THIS COURSE?

You will:

  • Learn a variety of exercises to warm up your voice
  • Develop good breathing techniques
  • Exploring your voice by creating different sounds
  • Sing a repertoire of songs, sometimes in harmony
  • Participate in other vocal workshops
  • Develop confidence working either individually or in small groups


HOW WILL I LEARN?

You will learn by working as part of a group and by tutor-led workshops and discussions.

WHAT SHOULD I BE ABLE TO DO BY THE END OF THE COURSE?

By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Sing songs with greater confidence
  • Be able to understand the technical aspects of the voice
  • Sing In Harmony
  • Teach others the basic vocal warm up exercises
  • Move on to further education

 

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL I GAIN?

There are no qualifications for this course however you will receive an exclusive Sing Out Project certificate on successful completion of the program  

WHAT COULD THIS COURSE LEAD TO?

This course could lead to an opportunity for employment with Sing Out Agency and other Sing Out Project services and external agencies who provide other courses.


WHAT EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS WILL I NEED TO PROVIDE?

You will need a:

  • File for hand-outs
